Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.Terry Pratchett

The grains of time in our mortal hour glass decrease minute by minute. The sun rises and sets, just as the relentless tides flow in and out day after day. For eons, the great cosmic wheels have turned round and round. All are driven by the same transcendent energy that floats a butterfly and blinks an eye. But, far too often, we don’t perceive our connection to the divine source. Instead we just say time drifts away and leave it at that. All the while, the power to manifest the changes we desire exists within us all.

You — each of you — are a unique manifestation of cosmic energy. Truly our lives are powered by star-stuff. Every atom in your body was forged in celestial furnaces. Each genetic trait that creates your biological uniqueness was inherited from countless ancestors. And the path you are on right now was determined, in part, by your choices. You make decisions based on the dense tapestry of reality woven by your perceptions. But what has to change before you yourself decide to alter your course? Great changes are initiated by small changes. Few worthwhile changes happen overnight, but moving towards the right direction is the first step. Allow the light bulb of inspiration to illuminate the next step, and the next and the next. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. — Leo Tolstoy

Take the time to look at yourself. Study your body. See the effects of age on your face. Feel the wear and tear of living on your flesh. Study those lines, the less than perfect complexion. Take stock of your flexibility and aching bones. Now look into the mirror and tell yourself you love you — say it aloud — I Love You. Do you notice a smile, a twinkle in the eye? Say it again tell yourself — I Love You — and mean it. Love the person you are today. Congratulate yourself on the storms you have weathered, the laughter you have shared, the failures and successes. Pull back from the self-criticism and self-doubt. Use the divine spark within you to re-frame those negative thoughts. Bend the ego to your will. The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation — Henry David Thoreau

Each day contains the potential energy for change. The reality you hold to be true continues to exist in a state of flux. The irreducible matter you hold in your hand is mostly empty space which is held together by the same forces that generates the breeze and powers the galaxies. Your spirit can tap into a portion of that balance/counterbalance of energy flow. That is the marvelous mystery of awareness. Make yourself aware of your true self. Learn who you really are. Gently remove the veils and bandages obscuring your vision of the absolute glory you truly are. Your life is already a miracle of chance waiting for you to shape its destiny. Toni Morrison

The vibrations of destruction and creation play out across the universe. Your physical body is undergoing constant change. Each cell in your body is replaced every seven years, and some much more often than that. But our essence remains over time. Accept the fact that change is a constant. There will be good days and bad days. But each day is a gift — treasure it then let it go. Move to the rhythms of change with your heart and soul. Join the cosmic dance. Every day above earth is a good day.Ernest Hemingway
